The rules

There are two methods of inclusion on the «Outed On Friday!» playlist: the primary route is by submitting your song directly to our review team (note that songs must not exceed four minutes in length). Artists may submit one track every 30 days, while record labels or managers can submit up to two tracks from different artists within the same period. All submissions must be available on major platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes, and YouTube Music. Only one version of a song may be submitted; if a track has previously appeared on the chart, additional versions or remixes cannot be resubmitted.

The secondary method («Lucky pick») is more challenging and involves recommendations from members of our submission review team. Please note that social media mentions do not influence playlist selection. Although we may share your content, this does not guarantee placement.

Artists featured on the «Outed On Friday!» or LGBTQ Music Chart playlists are expected to promote their music accordingly. Violating these guidelines may adversely affect future submissions, and any breach of rules may result in removal from our playlists.

For any distribution issues on music platforms, please contact us on BlueSky so that we are informed of your situation. All tracks featured on «Outed On Friday!» will be included in our weekly radio show, broadcasted on 18 different stations.

Each week, five new songs are selected for the «Outed On Friday!» playlist—typically, two spots are reserved for debut artists and three for returning ones. Returning artists are considered based on prior engagement with the chart and associated social media activity; those who do not engage may experience delays in feature placement.

Please be advised that submission does not guarantee inclusion on the «Outed On Friday!» playlist. Selection depends on various factors, and we cannot provide a specific timeline for when a song might be added. Numerous entries are reviewed each week.
